Business Trip

This past weekend Joel had to go to Idaho Falls on business, so I decided to tag along with the kids! I didn't have my hopes up for it being a fun trip, so perhaps that is what made it so fun! We got there on Friday afternoon and went to see the falls (of course) and walked around. Cassidy even chased some ducks.

Don't ask how Joel got this shot; it looks like it could have been our engagement photo! See the perfectly placed temple in the background? Good work, honey!

We went out to dinner that night, swam in the pool, and then just kicked it at the hotel. The next day we went swimming again bright and early, and then went with my friend Danielle* to a Mother/Daughter activity that she had found. It was so good to see her and her sweet new baby girl. We got WAY spoiled at the activity with free Jamba juice, getting our hair done, bought some new shirts and bought a bunch of Melissa and Doug** puzzles. Thanks, Danielle!

Then Joel got off a bit early, so we rented some bikes and a bike trailer and biked around the greenbelt (the falls). I got greenie butt*** pretty bad, but it was SO fun and beautiful! Joel and I are seriously contemplating buying bikes and a trailer now.

The kids LOVED riding in the trailer!

awwww

Joel was asked to stay an extra day, so we were in Idaho on Sunday, as well. Well, our hotel checkout time was at noon, but Joel worked until 4. So I checked us out of the hotel all by myself, then we went to church until 2, and then fried ourselves at the park for a couple of hours. But it was nice outside (aside from the blazing sun), so it wasn't so bad. Overall, a super fun trip!

*we met in Paris and have not seen each other in years; no she is not French
**Melissa and Doug products are the very best in the whole world. Google it.
***Greenie butt is a term used by missionaries new to a bike area when they get a sore bottom.

looks like a great time! I want to get a trailer to hook to my bike so bad this summer. We should ride bikes together if you get some :)
