fire pole

I took the day off school today just for fun. Long story short, I have extra time I need to take off before school gets out. Use it or lose it, they say. So we went for a bike ride. We had big plans to bike to this "nearby" pond and then eat lunch. Well, this pond wasn't quite so "nearby" as we thought. After biking for an hour, we decided it was time to quickly settle on the next park we came across. The kids didn't care; they thought it was wonderful! Cassidy has now figured out how to go down the fire pole at the park. It scares the bejeebeez out of me! She is so tiny. But I love how she sticks her little foot out to the pole. So cute!

Ethan fell asleep on Cassidy's shoulder on the way home! I almost died. He is so sweet! We did make it home o.k. but my legs are still jelly and it has been 9 hours since we got back. I may just have to skip school tomorrow too!
